Where to get Audiobooks?

So this is a very important point. Many people dont know how to get access to audiobooks. You can always buy them, but they are more expensive than regular books, so that can be a problem. I'm here to tell you about a few alternatives.

- Library- Yes, for those of you who don't know this: you can get audiobooks at your local library. At my library (I'm not sure if that'll be your case, you have to ask) you can get them either on audio CDs or digital versions. They used to use something called NetLibrary and very recently switched to Ebsco Host both of which allow you to borrow digital audiobooks from your computer! So you dont even have to leave your house to start listening!
- Rent or buy cheaper- There are several places you can pay a monthly fee and be able to download or get CD-audiobooks through mail. The most popular is Audible.com which is an Amazon company and you get discounts to buy once you're a member. Some others are Audiobook.net and Audiobookworm.com
- SYNC (YA Literature to your earphones) is also a place where you can find YA and they were free all summer. Be sure to head over and enter your email so they can send you alerts about free audios and programs. It's a community so if you already love and enjoy audiobooks go join so you can discuss with other fans.

Thanks for hosting - I truly love audio books - makes driving so much more pleasant! I have bought a number of audio books from Book Closeouts. You order on-line and they have a load of choices, and the prices aren't bad. Happy reading and listening.
As I am on a tight budget and not sure if I would listen to them I haven't yet brought one. My library has some but they are very limited! Only around 30 in the YA section ! =(
