She is the last of her kind...
It is not a peaceful time in the Dells. In King City, the young King Nash is clinging to the throne, while rebel lords in the north and south build armies to unseat him. War is coming. And the mountains and forest are filled with spies and thieves. This is where Fire lives, a girl whose beauty is impossibly irresistible and who can control the minds of everyone around her.
I absolutely love the way she writes. Once again she creates this magical, interesting world that we can't help but fall in love with. It does not take place where Graceling did, but it is connected. I do think the book is probably too long, and things take a while to happen; but once you finish it, its rewarding. So, I might as well say I was bored in some parts, but I loved the story.
The characters were amazing, I fell in love with every male character there was, and of course with Fire too. Cashore has a great ability for creating fantastic female characters. The cover is yet another amazing cover, I really love the mysterious ans enchanting covers of her books and the metallic finish to it is appealing. Obviously, for Graceling fans this is a must read.

I just read Graceling a couple of weeks ago and am now a huge fan. Loved it! Glad to hear this will live up to my expectations!
I loved this one so much :) Great review.
Yes, Alyssa is a big Graceling fan. She even thought it had enough action to keep me interested. Do you think this is true with Fire?
Nope. This one has a lot less action than Graceling. I love Graceling its one of my faves, this one is really good but its no Graceling, in my opinion..
I've heard people who like this better than G, not me.
I agree that this one does feel too long, but I still loved it!
